The quartet Aziza spices it up with their new album
Aziza is a quartet that combined the best of the best, bassist Dave Holland, saxophonist Chris Potter, guitarist Lionel Loueke, and drummer Eric Harland make some real magic, thanks to the experience they brought with them in this group. Their album “Aziza” is the right represent of the modern jazz scene.
Aziza was released on October 14th 2016, and it has eight originals, two from each band member. The first track is “Aziza Dance”, and with it you can feel the groove right from the start, all thanks to Loueke’s guitar skills and Harland’s nice rock beat. “Summer 15” takes you to a tropical place thanks to the sax work. “Blue Sufi” is the longest track of this album, almost 14 minutes, and it’s the shining star of this album. If you want something to relax, then “Walkin’ The Walk,” will do that for you, a real smooth and chill track waiting for you on a tired afternoon. “Friends” shows why these four guys got together on the first place, this track it’s a real feast of talent, so do not hesitate to dig in.
The start of Aziza is really promising, and we hope that we will hear from them soon again, because this four guys are worth for every second of your time.
