Brad Mehldau Trio makes beautiful “Blues and Ballads”

The Brad Mehldau Trio, Mehldau on piano, Larry Grenadier on bass, and Jeff Ballard on drums, are the best thing that could happen to blues and jazz. There is no doubt that their new album “Blues and Ballads“, will do the job right. The album is released on June 3, 2016, by “Nonesuch” Records.81TmWpV+1yL._SX425_

Blues and Ballads has 8 songs, all lined up in a perfect harmony. The elegance starts with the first track “Since I Fell for You“, this 10 minute song will enchant you from the start. “Cheryl” is taken at a precise, head-nodding lope, just amazing work. “My Valentine“, is one of the bluesiest songs on this album, it’s accurate and clean. The song that steps out of the frame is “I Concentrate on You“, that gives a little bit of latin feeling. The important thing is that all of the songs offer a one of a kind experience.

The Brad Mehldau Trio had a little brake, but they are back now and they are ready for some fun. “Blues and Ballads” will be the start of this great experience, don’t miss it !
